Announcement on the enrolment for doctoral courses in 2019

Hong Duc University announces the enrolment for doctoral courses in year 2019 as follows:
I. Specialty:
- Vietnamese Literature - Code: 62220113
- Crop Science - Code: 62620110
- Theories and Teaching Methods of Literature – Vietnamese - Code: 60140111
- Vietnamese History (tentative) - Code: 60220313
Traning Quantity: 10 (for all courses)
Training Method and Duration:
Full-time 3 years for master’s degrees graduates and 04 years for bachelor’s degree graduates.
II. Application requirements for doctoral courses
1. Applicants must meet one of 5 conditions as follows:
- Holding a master’s degree in line with enrolled course
- Holding a master’s degree different from and a bachelor’s degree in line with enrolled course. In this case, applicants must have at least 01 article published in science journal or scientific papers awarded by state council for professor title.
- Holding a right full-time bachelor’degree with honours and having at least one article published in science journal or awarded scientific papers prior to the submission for selection.
- Holding a right full-time bachelor’degree classified into merit and having at least one article published in science journal or awarded scientific papers prior to the submission for selection.
- Master’s degree holders suitable for enrolled course must have at least 1 article published in science journal or awarded scientific papers prior to the submission for selection. Content of articles must be in line with enrolled specialty.
2. Having one research proposal including specific title and field of research (3-4 pages)
3. Having two letters of recommendations by two scientists with academic titles (professor and associate professor) or with same-majored doctoral degree; or one letter of recommendation by one scientist with academic titles or with same-majored doctoral degree and one letter by recruiter (as attached file). These letter writers must work at least 6 months or have the same specialty with applicants
4. Satisfying one of the requirements for English Level:
a. Having B1-Level Language English Certificate (European Reference Framework for Languages) or Third-Level English Language Certificate (6-Level Vietnamese Reference Framework for Languages
b. Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree granted by foreign tertiary institutions (English is teaching language)
c. Bachelor’s degree in English language
d. If applicant cannot meet any of these requirements, they must take an exam held by HDU for English competency assessment.

- Bachelor’s degree and academic transcript
- Master’s degree and academic transcript
- Degree or certificate of English Language
- Others (if available)
Degrees and certificates granted by foreign tertiary institutions must be notarized (in Vietnamese copies) and recognized by Department of Testing and Educational Quality Assurance- Ministry of Educationa and Training.
3. 01 original and 05 copies of recommendation letter
4. 06 copies of research proposal
5. 06 copies of published scientific papers ( bound in a book, name and list titles on cover page)
- For articles: copy of science journal’s cover page
- For scientific research projects: Copies of Decisions/Contracts
6. 02 photos (3x4) and 02 stamped addressed envelops
7. CV
8. Documents of recommendation from recruiter
9. Declaration of Research and Finances
10. Statement of health
IV. Application Deadline, Selection fees:
- Application Deadline: by 15th July, 2019
- Proposal Defense Deadline: 15th August, 2019 (tentative)
