42nd anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic

On 1st December, Hong Duc University celebrated the 42nd anniversary of the National Day of Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2nd , 1975 - December 2nd , 2017)
The ceremony were attended by Mr. Bun Luo - Vice Director of Department of Foreign Affairs of Huaphanh province; Mr. Vong Phan Cham Kham Nga Kham - Vice Director of Department of Science and Technology of Huaphanh province, Laos; Representatives of Board of Directors, Youth Union and Student Association; relevant Divisions & Faculties, Vietnamese language teachers, and legions of Laos students.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai, Vice Rector, on behalf of the Board of Rector, extended the best wishes to Lao country and students on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the Lao National Day. She emphasized that Hong Duc University defined the cooperation in training with Lao PDR as both a professional task and a key political task, contributing to a solid and close relationship between Vietnam and Laos; between Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Bolokhamxay and other Lao neighboring provinces. At present, 403 LHS students were currently living and studying at Hong Duc University and it was always welcoming and honored for the university to be capable of training human resources for Hua Phan, Xieng Kham, Bolikhamxay and other provinces in Laos, in response to the socio-economic development of the country as a whole.
Additionally, Hong Duc University also awarded certificates of merit to the Lao students who had outstanding achievements in learning and extracurricular activities in the academic year 2016-2017.
At the ceremony, Lao students actively participated in cultural activities, cuisine exchange and talks with representative leaders about Vietnam-Laos special friendship, learning and living conditions of Lao students at the university.
The celebration of the National Day of the Lao PDR takes place on an annual basis in a joyous and warm atmosphere as the token of special brotherhood between the two countries ./.
