Scientific workshop: Innovative teaching methods for pre-school education majoring students in the orientation of developing learners' competence

By implementing the science and technology plan for the 2017-2018 academic year, and seeking out viable solutions to the training quality improvement for pre-school education majoring students, on 6th April, 2018, Hong Duc University held the scientific workshop: Innovative teaching methods for pre-school education majoring students in the orientation of developing learners' competence

The workshop is attended by representatives of functional units; leaders of training departments; lecturers/staff with presented papers and legions of lecturers/staff/students of the Faculty of Pre-school Education.

The Organizing Committee has received nearly 20 scientific papers from scientists, managers and lecturers from HDU’s various faculties. The papers focused on the following issues: competence related arguments; competence attributes in teaching in general and preschool teaching in particular; current status of innovative student-centered teaching methods; specific methods in innovating teaching and learning materials for preschool students.

At the workshop, scientists propose a variety of ideas for discussions on: Integrating the teaching methods for children with disabilities into curriculum; integrating teaching methods by specific cases into basic modules; renovating teaching methods for music subject to uncover and unleash potential and talent of learners. In addition, the workshop is also about pedagogical skills development for students, for example, measures for students' questioning skills in extracurricular activities to guide children to explore their surroundings.

The scientific workshop on "Innovative teaching methods for pre-school education majoring students in the orientation of developing learners' competence” was a great success. This is also a forum for scientists, preschool educators, teachers, kindergarten to exchange information and agree on theoretical and practical issues. Meanwhile, attendees are able to reach a consensus on the teaching views towards the development of learner capabilities through innovative modules in the preschool education curriculum at Hong Duc University. /.
