Hong Duc university organizes the opening ceremony of a new academic year 2014-2015

 Hong Duc university (HDU) organizes an openning ceremony of a new school year on September 9, 2014 with the presence of the Provincial Leaders: Mr. Vuong Van Viet, Provincial Commissioner, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Le Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuy, Deputy Director Department of Science and Technology and other representatives of the board of provincial committee, departments and universities in Thanh Hoa province. On the side of HDU, participants included Dr. Nguyen Manh An, the Secretary of Party Committee, the Rector; the comrades of the Managing Board; leaders of Units; the lecturers and staffs as well as students of HDU.

At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Truong, Vice Rector announced a letter written by President Truong Tan Sang to the Education Sector on the occasion of beginning a new academic year 2014 – 2015. Dr. Nguyen Manh An, Secretary of Party Committee, Rector, made a speech to start the ceremony. In his speech, Dr. An reviewed the results and achievements that staffs, faculties and students of the university have achieved in the academic year of 2013-2014. Over the past year, HDU has been recognized with many positive changes; capacity and quality of education continue to be improved; scale and forms of training are increasingly diversified to meet the needs of the society. In particular, Hong Duc University has officially been approved to start its PhD program 3 years earlier than the schedule. This is an important step in the process of striving to become the university with high quality in the region as well as in the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vuong Van Viet, the Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee congratulated and commended on the achievements that HDU lecturers and students have obtained in the past year. Meanwhile, Mr. Viet also insisted that the University is standing a range of opportunities for development,  and simultaneously facing a lot of challenges in years to come. Therefore, it is necessary that the staffs, lecturers and students enhance their level of competence in teaching and studying so that graduate students can apply their trained skills to the real social practice and meet their career requirements. In addition, it is important to strengthen the cooperation with foreign partners and recruitment partners; grasp the job demand of society as well as the rights of labors to build the proper training programs; follow closely the socio-economic development orientation of the province and country to construct major training plans which are the crucial factors in advancing the fame of the University.

Speaking on behalf of all teaching staff, Ph.D Hoang Thi Ha- the lecturer of the Department of Preschool Education stated her opinions on the education innovation of the university and a presentative from the students, Mai Thi Tham, the freshmen K17 of the Department of Social Science, who got the best results in the 2014 university entrance exam expressed her deep gratitude to the Board of Rectors, staffs and lecturers and promised to study assiduously to accomplish their academic qualifications as well as enhance their dignity by actively participating in the extracurricular activities, to contribute to enrich the University’s traditional values

At the opening ceremony, the school and the sponsors also honored and commended the students who gained outstanding achievements in the last academic year 2013 - 2014 and freshmen who came the first in the university entrance exam in the year 2014- 2015.

The opening ceremony took place successfully. The entire school’teachers and students together strive for a new school year with much success./.
