Hong Duc Uniersity works with a delegation from Vietnam-Japan University on cooperation in training and science-research

On the morning of 24th April, 2017, a delegation from Vietnam-Japan University (VJU) led by President, Prof. Furuta Motoo visited and worked with HDU. the delegation was warmly welcomed by President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh An, leaders of functional units, and leaders of faculties: natural science, social science, science and technology, economics and business administration.
VJU is 7th member university of Vietnam National University, Ha Noi (VNU), founded on 21st July, 2014. VJU has launched a new approach to higher education in Vietnam for the purpose of becoming a leading international tertiary institution and a token of fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

As a VNU's member university, VJU is able to leverage upon VNU's intrinsic advantages and resources for its strategic development. VJU has also forged a partnership with prestigious universities in Tokyo, Ibaraki, Osaka, Ritsumeikan, Tsukuba, Yokohama and Waseda.
VJU aims to provide all Vietnamese and international students with great opportunities to unleash their potential and critical thingking to pursue higher education at renowned universities and to make the foundation to assume attractive jobs at government agencies, academic institutions, international organizations, multi-national companies and most notably at Japanese companies in Japan and Vietnam.
At meeting, two parties held discussions about cooperation in human resource training and science research in various fields.
Two universities also pledged to work on a comprehensive cooperative program in order to ultimately sign MOU in the shortest time.

Following the meeting, the delegation attended a conference on scholarship and 2017 master’s degree programs at VJU with 250 HDU students. Speaking at conference, VJU representatives introduced 2017 master’s courses including public policy, nanotechnology, area study, infrastructure engineering, environmental engineering and business administration. Students who take these courses would receive benefits as follows: full and partial tuition scholarship for gifted students, academic excellence, advanced international environment, working skills in intergration, Japanese culture discovery, internship at Japanese companies in Japan and Vietnam, great job opportunities after graduation, opportunities to take doctoral courses at top Japanese universities.
VJU visit took place in an amicable and open atmosphere in the hope for brighter bilateral cooperation in years to come.
