Workshop on studying in France and the French Government scholarship programs

In this era of globalization, the need to study abroad to meet the demand for high-quality human resources is increasing. To meet that need, on October 16, 2020, Hong Duc University (HDU) worked with the Embassy of the French Republic, through the Campus France Vietnam to deliver the workshop on studying and the French government scholarships. Staff, lecturers, and students working and studying at HDU attended.

 At the workshop Ms. Marianne Jan, representative of Campus France Center introduced the beautiful France, the French education system as well as the French government scholarship programs, the benefits that HDU students could earn from the programs in France.

Also, Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Hanh, staff of the Campus France Center, guided the necessary procedures to apply to French Universities, including: English language requirements, academic achievement, and community activities; method and process to apply for scholarships, visa applications and preparations before departure; housing issues and the cost of living in cities in France. In addition, Ms. Hanh also answered the questions from the staff and students of HDU on issues related to studying in France and scholarships of the French Government.

On the sidelines of the workshop, the delegation of the French Embassy also had a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai, Vice Rector of HDU on cooperation programs with French partners that the University was implementing; the French scholarships that HDU’s students and lecturers had earned, the potential cooperation activities that the two sides could carry out in the future. Prof. Mai also introduced to the delegation the agricultural organic products from an herbal plan named Sachi, the results of the research conducted by a team of researchers from HDU, including: Sachi tea, Sachi oil, and dried Sachi seeds. Prof. Mai also expressed her wish that the products would become the popular branch name throughout the country, in the ASEAN and around the world in years to come./
