The High-Level Delegation of the Cultural and Educational Counselor Office, Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam visit Hong Duc University

 On 7/7/2020, Hong Duc University (HDU) hosted and had a work day with the High-Level Delegation of the Cultural and Educational Counselor Office, Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam led by the First Secretary, Dr. Outhay Bannavong.

Attendants at the University were Assoc. Prof. Hoang Thi Mai, Vice President of the University, accompanied by representatives of divisions responsible for the management and education of Laotian student and the representatives of Laotian Student Union at HDU.

On behalf of HDU, Vice President Hoang Thi Mai summarized the result of the management and training of Laotian students at HDU; their study result assessment, especially the support of the University for Laotian students in the prevention of Covid -19.

Responding to the HDU Vice President’s report as well as comments from representatives of Laotian Student’s Union, Dr. Outhay Bannavong highly appreciated HDU's efforts in accommodating Laotian students, especially the care for their material and spiritual needs during the time of social distancing to prevent the spread of covid-19. He also proposed some solutions to the accommodation of Laotian students in the upcoming time facing the increasing risk of Covid-19 pandemic. He also provided useful information on the situation, strategy, and direction of cooperation in the two countries' education as well as expressing his great interest in HDU’s recruitment of more Laotian students in the upcoming academic years.

Vice President Hoang Thi Mai agreed on the point of strengthening the measures of joint-management to improve the training quality of Laotian students in Vietnam and at Hong Duc University in particular, and with that, contributing to the development of closely cooperation between the two countries.

Mrs. Hoang also expressed her desire to see more support from the Embassy of Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Vietnam for the University’s international cooperation activities in Laos.
