Hong Duc University Delegation participated in the 2nd South and Southeast Asia College Student Culture and Sports Week in Kunming, China.

From 22th May 2016 to 31st May 2016, Delegation from Hong Duc Unviersity led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Truong took part in the 2nd South and Southeast Asia College Student Sports and Culture Week and had a meeting with Vice President and related Units of Kunming University of Science and Technology to discuss some main points: the development of solid bilateral relation between two universities, not only in training but also in other activities such as science research and technology; signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperative activities in training and technological science, faculty and students exchange in which two universities unified to do internship in construction engineering.
Delegates also attended the 2nd South and Southeast Asia College Student Sports and Culture Week. The purpose of this event is to strengthen sports and cultural exchanges among college students and promoting cooperation and friendship among universities of South Asia, Southeast Asia and Yunnan Province of China. It is consisted of sport games such as Men’s Soccer, Men’s Volleyball and Women’s Volleyball and cultural activities. The Delegation of Hong Duc University took part in Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Soccer. Kunming University of Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan, Hong Duc University, Vietnam awarded the winning of the top three places in the Women’s Volleyball Match. Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Thailand, St. Anthony’s College, India, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Thailand achieved the winning of the top three places in the Men’s Football Match. Kunming University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports, Vietnam, Souphanouvong University, Laos gained the winning of the top three placesin the Men’s Volleyball Match.
This event also provided an opportunity for students to interact and learn not only about sports but also cultural exchanges among China, Bangladesh, Laos, Thailand and India. Through the sport and culture week, the Delegation of Hong Duc University learn more about traditions, culture and educational approach of China and Kunming University of Science and Technology.
Delegation ended the visit successfully in accordance with approved program content, schedule and plan and returned safely to Vietnam on 1st May, 2016./.
